Yoga and Body Work

"This path of teaching has brought me much closer to myself, has opened my heart and my eyes and given me an opportunity for growth and maturity in a safe space."

Madeline Michaels, NY, NY

"I really liked that each day had a theme, so everything was integrated. I especially liked learning restorative yoga, mandala drawing, learning the yoga postures in detail, preparing a group presentation, body mapping, and connecting with the people in the group. Everything was perfect. I appreciate that Joseph doesn't have an over-inflated ego. I really connected with his philosophy of separation causing illness. His energy is beautiful and I never got tired or bored during the lectures. The entire staff are a reflection of integration."

"The program was well organized and the experience was non- threatening. I felt listened to during the course and appreciated learning by doing. I very much enjoyed the philosophical presentation of yoga which helped to round out my experience. Learning about living in the world yet integrating yogic ideas was inspiring. Professionally, learning a more gentle approach to Yoga was useful in rounding out my training. I will now slow down on my teaching and be more confident in facilitating gentle classes.
Personally, I have slowed my pace, feel more patient, relaxed and more accepting of myself. I hope this training has planted a seed which will grown to help me realize that working from my core is the only way to go."

Leslie Corcos, International School Counselor, Hong Kong, China

"Joseph's lectures were especially meaningful for me. I appreciated his breath of knowledge, his reasonable nature and his willingness to share personally his path in life with Yoga. Joseph, Robyn, Jones, Kim, Paula and Deborah were all excellent, well prepared and loving. Personally I have gained a new sense of community with kindred spirit and many resources to continue on my path."

Yoga and Nursing

"The most meaningful parts of the program were the individual yoga therapy sessions, learning about the chakras, and the body awareness exercises. All the staff were extremely supportive. I appreciated how Joseph was interested in how everyone felt about the class and how he tried to meet everyone's needs. Personally I learned so much about myself in this last two weeks, so much has changed in my life since I arrived here, I'm going home a much different person with many changes inside, including my yoga practices, my career, and my inner being

Yoga and Physical Therapy

"The training program offered a wide exposure to the varied facets of Yoga in a nurturing environment. Professionally, learning to integrate the higher koshas (non physical aspects of Yoga) was valuable since these are the areas I was least familiar with. I envision integrating the training into my profession through teaching Yoga classes at the hospital, integrating Yoga into physical therapy and striving towards a yogic lifestyle".

Alan Dostal, PT, Dubuque, IA

"
The program was a fruitful, beneficial, satisfying experience. I became grounded in the background of Yoga and feel empowered to practice and teach a gentle form of Yoga. I'm not an advanced student but now I see how can I make a niche for the Yoga I teach. Professionally, I plan to target schools and senior living centers to present Yoga classes."

Carol Bernsteen, PT, Chesterfield, MO

"I do feel this program changed my life. It's going to help me in my daily work as I move from being a traditional physical therapist to a PT who works with therapeutic yoga. Joseph Le Page's knowledge is remarkable. I appreciated his patience and ability to deal which all our different personalities, questions and moods in a loving way. If he didn't know something, he was able to refer us to a book or source to find answers, or he went to get the answer and didn't forget to tell us later. His calm state is catching. I feel a stillness deep inside that I hope I can continue to experience and expand."

Donna Stein, Physical Therapist, Chagrin Falls, Ohio

"The most meaningful part of the program was my class teaching experience. Teaching my first class was such an empowering learning experience. I learned to follow my heart with my teaching and to be true to myself. My family group also helped to ground me while encouraging me to reach for the stars. Robyn Ross is a wonderful example of the kind of life teacher I aspire to became. She's loving, true, strong and honest and brings out these qualities in the people she touches. Through this program I have become more confident in my skills as a teacher, and feel as if my light has grown in intensity so that I can share it with others."

"The program was a valuable learning experience on many levels. The section on the emotional body was of particular interest for me personally and for my work. The teaching experience was also valuable. I also gained an understanding of Yoga and philosophy and how it relates to working with my own life process. By understanding the philosophy, history and evolution of Yoga, my practice and teaching take on a whole new perspective.

I can see myself integrating the aspects and elements of the therapeutic Yoga session into my psychotherapy sessions to bring a more holistic approach to my work. Personally, I can see my Yoga practice evolving and deepening greatly as a result of what I've learned here."

Yoga for Current Yoga Teachers

"This training program is intensive, thought provoking, all encompassing. I realize now how large Yoga is and how it can serve as a framework for living. The teachers were passionate and knowledgeable. Joseph Le Page's knowledge is vast and he explains clearly. He is dedicated to his practice and openly shares what he knows. Personally, I had some great openings during these two weeks. I now have great resources to educate my students and myself. I enjoyed this training immensely."

Cheryl Fain, Yoga Instructor, Santa Barbara, CA

"My overall experience was wonderful. I feel that I've learned so much in two weeks time. The information presented was much more thorough, bigger and deeper than I' had expected or could have imagined. And the group dynamics together with the variety of the schedule, truly heightened the experience. Professionally the new variations and poses have broadened my knowledge base extensively. Personally, through the experiential aspects of our learning I've discovered new techniques and awareness to take my personal healing to another level. I also have some new insights into my creative side."

Amy Alice Green, Yoga and Instructor in Personal Training, Montgemery, AL

"It is hard to find words to truly express how I feel about my experiences over the past 2 weeks. I selected this program because of the integrative approach. I have learned so much, but most importantly, I have been able to feel the interconnectedness that we all share with each other and our planet. My physical body has been energized and supported by relearning poses using the bandhas and core stabilization. My energy body feels balanced, connected and centered. My emotional body feels calm and I have a new awareness of allowing all of my feelings to be there without judgment or need for action. My wisdom body has been listened to and connected with, allowing me to feel centered, safe and sure. My bliss body feels like it has returned home. Thank you for this incredible experience. I look forward to sharing my learning with others in my life."

"The most meaningful part of the program for me was experiencing the yoga healing tools, including pranayama, meditation, yoga nidra. Other important experiences were learning yoga history, the format for an IYT Yoga class and being with the other program participants. Joseph Le Page is an excellent facilitator and presenter, very rooted as well as light. He keeps a sense of humor without loosing hold of the group or its intention. The program was valuable, experiential and educational with many, many teaching and practice tools."

"I have been very pleased and excited by the program. I've gotten a lot of information, learned things by integrating them in my body and practiced on others, met many wonderful people and felt part of a community of like-minded, caring others. I loved it!

I've also deepened greatly my exposure to and understanding of energy work, chakras, 5 bodies of yoga and how to use all that information in diagnosing on on one. I also enjoyed the depth of information on yoga history, sutras, meditation, ayurveda, etc. All of it clear and well presented and very exciting to think of integrating into my teaching and working with people. Personally, I've had opportunities to see my areas of growth as the training held up a mirror for me to see/observe myself deeply and more clearly.

Professionally I've valued the structural/alignment refining so as not to cause injury from repeated use in strained, "classical" poses. I'll approach my classes with a new eye. Bringing an intention to each class and carrying it through to a guided meditation. I also want to begin quite slowly to work one on one with people. I found that experience exciting and rewarding.

In terms of my personal practice, I feel rejuvenated and recommitted. I'll work more with my energy and breath. I also feel so excited to be certain that yoga is my path, both personally and professionally. I'm so excited to begin to learn how to use yoga to assist folks in their healing."

Kristen Rohn, Yoga Teacher, Santa Barbara, CA

"I always knew that there was a lot more to Yoga than the physical, but now I've learned to incorporate another aspects into my practice and into my teaching. This incorporation of the whole of Yoga is the key to health for practitioners and teachers.
I now want to start teaching on my own, separately from the health club and eventually do more one on ones. I've got so much out of this program."

Yoga for Law and Law Enforcement

"This training program was an excellent experience. It has given me so many tools to work with myself and my students. Law enforcement so badly needs this kind of program so that we can work with the causes of crime and prevention. The relaxation techniques are also extremely important for police officers in order to reduce the level of stress."

Brenda Brown, Police Officer, Cleveland, Ohio

"My experience was pleasant, peaceful, overwhelming, energizing, refreshing, educational, healing. I have increased body awareness and breath awareness. I feel strengthening in my physical body, I feel an increased sense of my heart chakra and an increased sense of space and safety. When I came to this training my perception was that Yoga was about postures, breathing and doing them correctly. I'm amazed at the healing that Yoga provides. I'm also amazed at the history. I envision giving my classes with a deeper sense of awareness of the chakras, the five bodies, and the healing qualities of Yoga."

"The program expanded my knowledge of Yoga in all levels and helped me to understand how to bring together all the knowledge gained over the years. The most valuable part was the one on one exercise which brought it all together. It feels like I have been melted down over the past two weeks and I'm going through a period of reconfiguration. My awareness has increased along with my ability to read others energetically, emotionally and physically. Basically, I've grown and will continue to grow!"

Dorie Pratt, Grants Consultant to the Health Care Profession/Yoga Instructor, Ashville, North Caroline

"I have gained much knowledge, healing, wisdom and tools for continuing growth. The specific experiences which were most meaningful were the practice teaching, posture clinics, and learning about the philosophy, psychology, and history of Yoga. Joseph Le Page is simply a master. He has changed my life deeply and permanently, both on a personal and professional level. The depth and range of his knowledge and the wisdom with which he integrates his knowledge into daily life and eternal human issues is something I've never before encountered."

" This training program gave me what I really needed: the confidence that I am capable, ready and excited to teach. I see myself moving forward to teach with corporations, stress management and golfers. I can identify so many groups in my area who need this work desperately. I used to say Yoga is a way of life. Now I see that Yoga is more than life. I'm so so glad I came to this training."

Mary Humphrey, Yoga Teacher,Chaddford, PA

" I have gained basic knowledge of yoga therapy and an excellent introduction to the philosophy of yoga. I'm looking forward to going home to read the materials as well as all the information. The most meaningful experiences were organizing and teaching a yoga wellness class as well as all the opportunity for self exploration and self awareness. Joseph is extremely knowledgeable and lives the things he teaches. Robyn is compassionate and energetic and Jonas has excellent technical information and did a wonderful job sharing it."

"I was intrigued with the subject matter; there is so much more to Yoga than the physical aspects. I loved learning all about it. Professionally, feeling the alignment of the postures created a shift I could feel in my whole being. Learning Somatics and feeling each body part and muscle helped me to become more aware and lose before doing the postures. Personally, over the past two weeks my scapula knots released, my scapula opened, my neck extended - its like I left that rounded posture behind, never again to return."

Marie Jager, Santa Clara, CA

"What I have gained from this experience was far beyond what I anticipated. The physical setting was breathtaking and serene - a perfect place for self-exploration. The number of participants was perfect for connecting with. I was incredibly impressed with Joseph's depth of knowledge, commitment to practice and style of teaching. Over the past 2 weeks, I have learned much more than what it takes to be a good yoga teacher. With the tools and philosophies of yoga as Unity and surrendering to God, I feel I have learned to be a better human being. Thank you!"

"The entire program was powerful for me, especially experiencing the brilliance and compassion of Joseph Le Page. His presentation is always clear and immediately practicable to everyday life. Jones Westring is a fantastic teacher. I felt safe and supported in all postures and extremely inspired by him. Each of the staff were excellent and caring, offering a unique part of themselves in support of the program and the students. The program gave me a more manageable framework for my education and experiences and most definitely will change my teaching and my life."

Lorraine Cahn, Yoga and Stress Management Instructor,

"I was favorably impressed by the presentation of the material and Joseph's delivery. To have such an open heart, to be so willing to share his journey and to create such a safe container while still giving me that opportunity to play my edge is very rare. Robyn's enthusiasm is contagious. I enjoyed her ability to teach a class and connect with each student personally. The other assistants Kim, Debby and Paula amazed me with their selfless, tireless, attention to every one in the class. Their impassability and heart gave me a safe place that made the training work seamlessly."

I can look at myself with more compassion and objectivity. I feel like I'm more prepared to face any challenge life might give me.

Yoga in the Work Place

"The scope and breath of this program is incredible. It was so much more than I expected. The Rasa Yoga class led by Robyn was my most incredible yoga experience to date. Joseph is a man who not only brings intelligence and a heightened sense of awareness to his work but also a wonderful sense of compassion and heart. His delivery is clear, direct and with humor. He has obviously done the work and is brilliantly creative and connected.

Robyn is a modern day goddess, her love and presence are so abundant and one is constantly nurtured in her presence. She's a yoga teacher par excellence. Jonas's knowledge of the physical body is amazing. His tips and techniques were clear, precise and made all the difference for me. My life has changed dramatically as result of this training."
